So there have been many reviews about the new film New York, I Love You.

But I want to here from you guys, the fans, not just the critics!

It has been announced that the film “Nakushita Kioku,” directed by American filmmaker Hans Canosa, in which Anton will be playing the character of Ace Zukerman will be released March 2010.

The story tells of a high school student (Horikita) who loses part of her memory in an accident. Anton plays the girl’s boyfriend before the accident.

Although the movie is in Japanese, Horikita’s character attends an international school, so about 40% of her lines are in English. She commented that she was surprised when she first saw the script, and she had a lot of trouble with the English lines. However, Canosa praised her, saying that she has the potential to become an international star.

Rumour
Johnny Depp has admitted to not being 100% up for playing the whacky role of Jack Sparrow in the new Pirates of the Caribbean film. (POTC number 4!). However, this will not alter Disney in their ways, and they will happily carry on making POTC 4 without him.
Reports are that the studio is making preparations to replace Depp’s Jack Sparrow with a new character if he decides to not return. According to the report, Disney is willing to offer him major money to return for the fourth film, but the general feeling is that even if they talk him into doing the next one, he won’t do a fifth and sixth one, both of which Disney does plan to do.
It has been speculated that the new character introduced in the next film, and perhaps replace Depp’s Sparrow character, could be played by one of Hollywood’s top young stars, such as Shia LaBeouf, Zac Efron, James Franco, Ryan Gosling, Ben Whishaw, Anton Yelchin, or Robert Pattinson.

A review, posted by newsinfilm, looks at the script for Anton’s newly announced film The Beaver. The review gives a bit about the plot and a bit of history of the script and production.

• “The script topped the “Black List” last year as one of the best unproduced screenplays in Hollywood and, after a talent shuffle that included Steve Carell and Jim Carrey, Gibson settled on the lead under the direction of Ms. Foster for Summit Entertainment.”

• “Walter Black (Gibson) is a vacant, perpetually depressed man in his mid-40’s. He’s tried every form of therapy to brighten his mood, including pills, drum circles, self help novels, and hypnosis. His slump has brought the company he oversees to the brink of bankruptcy and cost him his family, who casts him out as a poor influence.”
• “At this pivotal moment Walter’s subconscious splits and an alternate personality manifests in a beaver puppet with a “crisp British accent.””
• “Walter’s teenage son Porter (played by Anton Yelchin) is terrified of becoming his father even before the stuffed woodland creature emerges. He records behavioral similarities in a notebook and punishes himself when showing any signs of heredity.”
• “Meanwhile, Porter runs a business charging his classmates to write assignments in their voice, essentially helping others pretend to be something they’re not. This as he falls for a cheerleader hiding behind her own facade (Jennifer Lawrence).”

Your webmiss is on fire today
I’ve found an interview with Brett Ratner (the director of the short film Anton is in, in the upcoming movie New York, I Love You). Actually I’ve found two: a written interview – which contains spoilers (!!!) – about how he’s based the short film sort of around his life, here; and a behind the scenes type interview which I’ve uploaded to the video section. (For some reason, it plays twice in the video).

I’ve also updated the video section with a few live sessions of The Hammerheads, a few trailers and two behind the scenes on the Terminator Salvation set. As well as the New York, I Love You trailer. Oh, and an interview with Anton about Star Trek XI.
